The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Indiana University seeks an academically accomplished radiologist to serve as the Vice Chair of Clinical and Translational Research. The department is committed to developing programs that lead to innovative patient care with the Vice Chair leading this effort. The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences and the Indiana University School of Medicine have made commitments of substantial resources and administrative support towards the development of this leadership position.  

The successful candidate will have an established track record (publications and extramural research support) in clinical and/or translational research in the area of radiological imaging sciences.   Experience should include evidence of building multi-disciplinary collaborations and teams, a sustained record of obtaining peer reviewed grant support (NIH, NSF, DoD or other federal funding), and mentorship.  Candidates should possess an MD, or MD/PhD and have a background that spans the application of imaging technologies for disease detection, therapeutic response assessment, image guided therapy, and precision medicine. 

 The Department of Radiology is home to over 100 radiologists, 25 imaging scientists, and more than 70 residents and fellows. Extensive clinical and research dedicated facilities include advanced MRI, PET/MR, PET/CT and radiochemistry instrumentation and support including animal imaging. Radiologic services are provided to fifteen Indiana University Health facilities and affiliated partners across the state, as well as Eskenazi Health. The main campus is in Indianapolis, the 12th largest city in the United States, which is growing and thriving economically due to a strong corporate base anchored by the life sciences. Basic Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have MD degree, possess skills of a clinical vascular surgeon, have completed a Vascular Surgery Residency, and be Board Certified or Eligible.
