Indiana University Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Oncologist and Hematologist to join our Cancer Services Program at IU Health Arnett located in Lafayette, Indiana.    

 We have immediate openings and are also looking ahead to future opportunities in 2028 at our new cancer center currently under construction! We’d love to connect with physicians who are interested in joining our growing team and being part of this exciting new chapter. 

Position Highlights: 

• Monday-Friday with dedicated administrative time
• 1:4 call schedule (call will decrease once fully staffed)
• General Hematology (40%) and Oncology (60%) with opportunity to specialize in the future
• Precision Genomics Program
• On-site Tumor Boards and Clinical Research
• New Cancer Center opening in 2028!

• Providers are very interactive throughout the multi-specialty group coordinating care effectively 
• The team is highly engaged in System Effectiveness and in ongoing quality improvement

Responsibilities:

• Provides independent diagnosis and treatment of patients, formulation of treatment plans, and direction of the interdisciplinary team in achieving patient care plan goals
• Provides medical supervision of the interdisciplinary team and supervises residents and medical students 
• Participates in clinical research projects of interest
• Remains current and professionally competent
• Shares call responsibilities with other physician members of the assigned areas (1 in 4 weeks)
• Participates in medical audits, QA programs, investigations, peer review, and other inquiries relating to the standards of professional care

Requirements:

• Candidate must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology 
• MD/DO Indiana license or eligible
• J1 Waiver (2028) and H1b Visa sponsorship available

Compensation/Benefits:

• Competitive base salary with 2-year guarantee

Indiana University Health Arnett's Cancer Services Program's prevention, education, detection, and treatment are provided by the IUH Arnett multi-disciplinary and multi-specialty team.
