IU Health Physicians, in collaboration with Indiana University School of Medicine, is recruiting a compassionate and patient-focused Palliative Care Physician to collaborate with our highly skilled, well-established teams at IU Health West Hospital in the desirable suburb of Avon, Indiana. Key clinical responsibilities include seeing patients, leading family meetings, writing orders and notes. This collegial Physician will care for our most vulnerable population, working alongside a truly interdisciplinary team of Advanced Practice Providers practicing at the top of their scope.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday (dayshift) 8am to 4pm
  • Inpatient (80%) - average census is 30 visits per week
  • Outpatient (20%) - average census is 12 visits per week 
  • On-Call: 1 in 7 weeks – call is via phone only

Qualifications:

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSOM) in conjunction with IU Health Physicians, is seeking a neuropathologist with strong diagnostic skills to join our team.  This individual will be based at the IU Health Central Pathology Laboratory (IUHPL).  The neuropathology division is part of robust, subspecialized anatomic pathology group of greater than 50 pathologists with a plan for expansion.    This division serves 10 hospitals within the IU Health network, Eskenazi Health and Roudebush VA Medical Center resulting in an excellent case mix.  Pediatric neuropathology is associated with Riley Children's Health, the only comprehensive pediatric hospital in the state with an active neurosurgery service.  This division supports comprehensive neuropathology fellowship training program for up to 2 fellows per year.   The division also supports the academic and research missions of the IUSOM which includes the Stark Neuroscience Center, Indiana Alzheimer's Disease Center and IU Health Neuroscience Center. 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional diagnostic services within neuropathology
  • Provide on-call coverage and conference support with department faculty members
  • Actively participate in educational activities with medical students, residents, and fellows, including 1-2 neuropathology 
  • Broad range of specimens: robust adult and pediatric neuropathology, muscle and nerve biopsies, ophthalmic and autopsy pathology

IU Health Physicians is seeking an Obstetric Gynecologist to join our newest clinic, IU Health Fishers Ob/gyn, as we grow to meet the needs of the community.  At the conclusion of the $287 million community impact project at IU Health Saxony Hospital in December 2025, the practice will include an innovative ultramodern 18-exam room ambulatory suite attached to the newly built state-of-the-art LDRP floor, managed 24-7 by a comprehensive Laborist program.  Services will extend to three Indiana outreach locations in Noblesville, McCordsville, and USA Parkway-Fishers. By Jan. 2030, the IUHP Fishers Ob/gyn practice group will comprise of 10 Physicians, 7 Advanced Practice Providers, and 5 Laborists to optimize personalized care for patients in and around the Fall Creek and Delaware townships of Hamilton County.
 
The successful candidate will see patients at the newly built multi-specialty suite at the IU Health Saxony Hospital MOB in Fishers, IN, with outreach locations in Noblesville and USA Parkway-Fishers. The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine in conjunction with IU Health Physicians, are expanding its team as it transitions to a subspecialized service.  The department is seeking to jointly recruiting a surgical pathologist with subspecialist expertise in Gastrointestinal pathology, to join its faculty.  Those experienced in a second subspeciality area or immunohistochemistry will be considered as well.  The Pathologists will be based at the IU Health Central Pathology Laboratory (IUHPL) located in downtown Indianapolis.  The Pathology team serves 10 hospitals within the IU Health Network and Eskenazi Health.  Anatomic pathology is currently comprised of 55 pathologists, with this expansion plan adding additional subspecialized pathologists. The academic rank of the appointment will be determined by qualifications and level of experience.
