Indiana University Health and Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking one additional Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Intensivist to join the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Riley Children’s Health and the Department of Pediatrics.  Our current group of critical care physicians is a dynamic and diverse group with a commitment to academic development and research while continuing the mission of delivering world class health care. The successful candidate will join IU School of Medicine faculty as assistant or associate professor. 

Riley Children’s Health is nationally ranked in all 10 pediatric specialties and the Cardiac Program at Riley is ranked 6th in the nation and first in the Midwest region. Riley Children’s Health boasts a state-of-the-art 42-bed pediatric intensive care unit and a 23-bed cardiovascular critical care unit (CVICU), where the Division of Pediatric Critical Care provides care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents. The PICU has approximately 2500 admissions per year and the CVICU admits about 600 patients annually. The Cardiac ICU provides state-of-the-art care including ECMO and Ventricular Assist Device support. 

The Division of has a robust academic portfolio including an active PCCM fellowship program and a 4th year Cardiac Intensive Care fellowship as well as a wide array of translational and clinical research activity.  

Qualifications:
•    Completion of pediatric residency
•    Completion of pediatric critical care or pediatric cardiology with an extra year of CVICU fellowship

The pediatric hospitalist team at Riley provides a broad patient care experience across a variety of care models. 

  • Inpatient coverage, PICU night coverage, spectrum of newborn care including L&D, routine normal newborn nursery to high-risk deliveries.
  • Procedures include (but are not limited to): lumbar puncture, possible circumcision  
  • Opportunity for rigorous academic track with built-in protected time for scholarly activities including quality improvement, medical education, leadership, and research.
