Key Responsibilities:
The Dept Chairperson provides administrative leadership and clinical oversight for their department. General oversight responsibilities include:
- Scheduling/leading monthly department meetings including production of agendas and minutes in collaboration with Dept manager.
- Assurance of appropriate coverage of departmental clinical responsibilities, including the timely publishing of on-call schedules.
- Addressing, as appropriate, patient complaints with dept members. Approving requests by dept members for changes in their master schedule templates; assuring that such changes do not necessarily limit patient access to services.
- Responsibility for managing the department budget in collaboration with practice managers.
- Addressing, in collaboration with dept manager, CMO and/or Human Resources as appropriate, personnel issues involving department members.
- Quarterly rounding on all dept providers, other periodic one on one meetings as indicated.
- Providing care for patients for obstetrics and gynecology needs including full spectrum surgery.
- DaVinci robotics skills preferred.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must be Board Certified with Medical Degree or foreign equivalent
- Licensure to practice in the state of Indiana with current BLS Certification
- OBGYN Residency required
- Excellent communication with knowledge of policies & procedures for the area
